Kim and Dorian had a beautiful Florida beach destination wedding at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island, Florida. Having family all over the United States, it was important to find the perfect private beach wedding location. They chose South Seas Island Resort, a beautiful tropical venue for their outdoor wedding knowing how much their guests would enjoy the views Captiva Island has to offer.

Kim and Dorian went on their first date in 2011 and sparks have flown ever since! They were engaged in Daytona Beach, where they currently live, and have shared many wonderful experiences together. They could not wait for this special day to celebrate their love for each other and commit to a lifelong friendship, family, and companionship.

With an amazing private beach wedding location and awesome vendors, their wedding was truly unique to Kim and Dorian. They had a special family member officiate the ceremony, and the gorgeous beach wedding décor was designed by Venice Events and Miami Rentals. Yum Yum Cakes delivered a delicious square wedding cake and cupcakes for the guests.

We had a blast capturing their special day. Some of our favorite details were Kim’s dress, (which she helped design!), the first look, their decor, sunset, and reception. It was decided early on that they would do a first look. This is where the bride and groom decided to see each other before the ceremony. Dorian’s face is priceless and it made for great candid photography. Their chairs, wedding arch, and tables were out of this world and very unique touches to a beach destination wedding. The sunset was beautiful, and we captured amazing shots after the ceremony of Kim and Dorian, and their wedding party. At the reception, Kim and Dorian decided to surprise their guests during their first dance, and ended up singing a duet to each other! The father daughter dance was special and unique as well, you can tell Kim is a daddy’s girl through and through 🙂
